Simeon, although known by some of the team for many years, kept very quiet about his sporting abilities, probably becuase he was never asked. In 2004 it arose that Simeon had played both football and cricket at at leased a county level and was keen, forgetting his 'dodgy knees' to get back into the game. Simeon had a very successful start when in 2004, after playing 5 games for the Idlers, he found himself top of the both the batting and bowling averages highlighted by a brilliant debut 105 and BBI of 5-15. He is a tall man with a solid classical batting technique, especially when playing the pull/hook. His bowling is not at the pace that it used to but can find good swing on most wickets.
