Cadnam (A) - 26 June 2010
Lost by 117 Runs

The Idlers lost for the second time in as many weeks in a below par display away to promotion rivals Cadnam. A failure to break early partnerships and an inability to form meaningful partnerships of their own saw the Idlers slump to a disappointing defeat.

The home side, having won the toss, unsurprisingly elected to bat first on what appeared to be a good track. The Cadnam openers got off to a decent start with Saffie 63 and fellow opener Jewer 42 setting the platform for what should have been a larger total. Good bowling from Idlers opening pair N.Lawrence (2/31) and M.Cklements (3/26) ensured a very respectable total of just 225/8 was scored.

After tea, the Idlers reply started poorly and lost both openers cheaply with things never really improving, only A.Harms (29) offered any resistance. The regular loss of wickets, mainly due to the wise slow bowling of P.Kerly (4/12), saw the Idlers bowled out for 108 on what was a very sub standard performance from the Salisbury based team.
