Hythe & Dibden (A) - 12 June 2010
Won by 190 runs
IDLERS REMAIN UNDEFEATED AS BOWLERS DOMINATE

Idlers 255/8 beat Hythe & Dibden 65/10 by 190 runs.

Batting first Cranch (73) and Ince (25) added 103 for the 1st wicket against an impressive opening bowling pair led by A De Jeger whose left arm spell examined the batsmanís technique. Cranch was unlucky to depart with a century beckoning and his dismissal triggered a middle order collapse. At 133 for 4 Jimmy McKillop took guard and instantly went on the attack. Picking up the length early McKillop raced to 57 from just 34 balls and took the game away from a Hythe. Captain Harms (54) rounded off a fine all round batting display on a pitch that always offered assistance to the bowlers. The Hythe & Dibden response started badly as Lawrence and Clements both took wickets in their first over. The opening pair consistently troubled all of their top order and were well backed up by superb catches from Douse in the gully and Harms at second slip. Lawrence finished with 5/33 and Clements 4/28 as Hythe collapsed to just 65 all out. Idlers remain at the top of the County 2 league table with their fifth consecutive win of the season.
